charmed and fancied: stripes!

If I had to choose two words to describe my style I would without a doubt say classic and chic. And for me, kate spade designs encompass both {and much more} perfectly.  So when I received my monthly email from kate informing me of their new designs, I. Was. Psyched!  Each month, kate spade will introduce a pattern for the month, and for January it was stripes! I find myself going to their website far too often, day dreaming of my wish list.

Here are some of my picks from this month's stripes collection, and with my love of classic style, it's no surprise that I stuck to the basic red, black and white.

My closet definitely needs this A-line dress which is great for winter and spring!  Moving to the right, I have an obsession with silk scarves and am in love with this little number. Below that is a striped iPad case and next to it a perfect coin purse with a note reminding you of the smaller joys in life. 

I can't wait to find out February's pattern and show you my top picks.

charmed and inspired: the mediterranean

Usually a Mediterranean winter lasts about a few days, if not a few hours—a couple of rain showers in the afternoon maybe a little drop in temperature.  This year, however, we have had consecutive cold wet days.....the sun did not even make an early morning appearance. 

I am longing for bright blue skies, warm breezes and soft glowing rays.....and if I wasn’t afraid of wearing white pants or bright colors, I may possibly consider wearing this outfit inspiration....

cozy beginnings

Happy 2012 lovelies!

The hubs and I just celebrated our 2 year anniversary.  We opted for a relaxing weekend and got away to a small boutiquey hotel not far from our apartment.  While the rest of the world was getting all glammed up for new years eve, we got pampered with a couples massage, followed by a 4-course dinner in-house {where I had the BEST steak of my life!}.  We danced the night away to 80's music before retreating to our cozy and oh-so-cute room just in time to welcome the new year and our exciting third year of marital bliss!  I hope everyone else's new years was just as lovely as mine!
